Infographic: Hidden Water Use

 

The goal of this infographic was help the average person understand the staggering amount of water used everyday in the United States and where it all goes. The information was presented as "hidden" water because most of the water used everyday is never seen. It is used to grow the food we eat, make the products we buy, and create the energy we use. The scrolling format was used to lead the reader through facts and figures, building a story, and finally inviting them to explore more information on their own through an interactive map that broke down and compared water use by state.
