Real-time tools to build rider confidence
As riders increasingly relied on smartphones for navigation, Metro Transit needed better real-time information tools.

I partnered with Transit Information and IT to modernize physical displays and mobile features. I redesigned the real-time arrival screens and helped shape new route planning tools and a live bus map that showed riders exactly where buses were. These tools addressed a common frustration—wondering if a bus had already passed or was just delayed. Riders could now check their phones and make quick decisions, easing stress and improving trust in the system.

Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The new tools helped reduce perceived wait times and gave riders greater peace of mind, especially during delays or unpredictable weather.
